The “WED” is a totally natural, untreated wooden device that allows you to practise the various compensation techniques used in freediving, in particular the Frenzel technique and the Mouthfill, at home and in the dry. The WED includes 3 natural latex balloons. Dimensions & composition: 44mm high, 21mm diameter, pinewood (pinus cembra).

Description

The “WED” is the result of a marriage between my two passions: raw wood and freediving. The oak used to make the WED “OAK” is a noble, hard, and very resistant wood. This wood comes exclusively from my forest located in the commune of Orvin in Switzerland. The qualities of oak reflect the bactericidal power of lignin and the natural constituents of the wood, whose surface self-cleans approximately 30 minutes after use. The manufacture of WED is 100% natural and local.

Freediving constantly pushes us to review our behaviour towards our planet and the 72% of water it is covered with. My personal approach is to revisit the materials used in the design of our equipment. This creation is one of the first results.
