The pinus cembra wood used to make the WED contains essential oils that reduce stress, lower heart rate and strengthen the respiratory tract. This wood comes exclusively from Switzerland. Its qualities have long been known to the inhabitants of Alpine regions, and have been validated more recently by scientific studies[1]. These studies have also highlighted the bactericidal power of lignin and the natural constituents of the wood, whose surface cleans itself about 30 minutes after use! WED is manufactured 100% naturally and locally.<\/p>\n<p>Freediving constantly pushes us to review our behaviour towards our planet and the 72% of water it is covered with. My personal approach is to revisit the materials used in the design of our equipment.
